On June 2,State Minister of Defense Oniki participated in the ceremony of the insignia of Chevalier of Legion d’Honneur to VADM YUASA, Commander in Chief, Self Defense Fleet, hosted by French Ambassador Setton. State Minister Oniki delivered speech and met with the Ambassador.
VADM YUASA was awarded for his achievements of further expanding bilateral defense cooperation. This is the highest insignia and is awarded for outstanding contributions. JMOD/JSDF will continue to promote defense cooperation and exchanges with France.
