Transportation of bulletproof vests, helmets and etc. for Ukraine

 On March 8, receiving order from Defense Minister Kishi, in order to transport bulletproof vests, helmets and etc. for Ukraine and deliver them to Ukrainian people, JSDF cargo aircraft will depart tonight. For Ukraine.
 Japan is clearly against Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, which constitutes a blatant violation of international law.

 On March 9, to provide bulletproof vests, helmets and etc. for Ukraine, JSDF loaded them onto KC-767. This kind of mission is the first case for us,but we do our utmost to swiftly deliver them to Ukraine.

 To deliver bulletproof vests and helmets to Ukraine, KC-767 departed from Komaki Air base.

 KC-767 landed on the airport in the neighbor countries of Ukraine. We truly hope that those items delivered to Ukraine including JSDF’s bulletproof vests serve as shields to protect lives of Ukrainian people fighting for their homeland.

 KC-767 completed the delivery of bulletproof vests and helmets for Ukraine and came back to Japan. The looks on crews’ faces tell us a sense of accomplishment.

 On March 10, To provide bulletproof vests and helmets for Ukraine, JSDF is loading them onto the 2nd flight, C-2. We will continue to make every effort to assist Ukraine.

 C-2 aircraft carrying bulletproof vests and helmets for Ukraine departed from Miho Air base. C-2, following KC-767, bring hope to Ukrainian people.

 C-2 landed on the airport in Poland,and handed over the defense equipment. We hope that our bulletproof vests and helmets will protect the precious lives of the Ukrainian people.

 On March 16, C-2 completed the delivery of JSDF’s defense equipment and came back to Japan. MOD/JSDF continue to do our utmost to deliver the equipment as early as possible.
