On February 7, Defense Minister Kishi received a courtesy call from Mr. Rahm Emanuel, Ambassador-Designate of the United States. Defense Minister Kishi welcomed Ambassador Emanuel on his assignment to Japan and confirmed that both sides would work closely to strengthen the Japan-U.S. Alliance.
