On Dec. 28, DM Kishi held a VTC with DM II Halbi of Brunei.
They welcomed the completion of the coordination for Memorandum on Defense Cooperation and Exchanges between Japan-Brunei defense authorities. DM Kishi announced Japan’s entry to ADI, the hotline which is Brunei’s initiative under the ADMM framework, and DM II Halbi welcomed it.
On Dec. 27, JMSDF JS Uraga and JS Hirado of IMED21 unit conducted a goodwill exercise with Royal Brunei Navy KDB Darulehsan in the surrounding seas of Muara. We will continue to promote bilateral defense cooperation and exchanges!
