 16 Members of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF) joined Exercise Hari’i Hamutuk 21, in Timor-Leste as a part of defense cooperation to the country. JGSDF members led the Survey, Heavy Equipment Maintenance and Vehicle Maintenance courses and participated in a construction project with Timor-Leste, Australia, United States and New Zealand personnel. “Hari’i Hamutuk” means “Building Together” in Tetum (the national language of Timor-Leste), and brought together over 200 personnel from 5 countries. Participants worked together and learnt from each other during the exercise.
