On October 25, Defense Minister Kishi received a courtesy call from U.S. Secretary of Navy Carlos Del Toro who was newly assigned to the position in August.
They confirmed that JMSDF and U.S. Navy will continue to closely work together to further enhance Alliance capabilities to deter and respond, and to maintain and strengthen a “Free and Open Indo-Pacific.”
