　The Government of Japan and the UK Government will commence negotiations for the conclusion of the Japan-UK Reciprocal Access Agreement (RAA). This agreement streamlines the procedures for reciprocal access and activities, and facilitates joint operations and exercises.
　The conclusion of the Japan-UK RAA will further deepen the Japan-UK defense cooperation. The Japan Self-Defense Forces and the British Armed Forces work together for the peace and stability of the Indo-Pacific region by enhancing interoperability and collaboration between them.
