The JMOD/JSDF (Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF) Central Band) provided training in individual and ensemble musical performance, and musical instrument maintenance to 37 members of the PNGDF Military Band.
During this deployment, the Japan-PNG Association donated uniforms to the band, with the handover ceremony taking place on 29 September. At the ceremony, the band showcased the results of the training they had received, by performing in the new uniforms in front of an audience including the JGSDF Central Band instructors.
