On Sept 22th, Defense Minister Kishi received a courtesy call by UK Minister for Defence Procurement Jeremy Quin MP. They discussed defense cooperation including a port call by CSG21, recent regional developments and defense equipment and technology cooperation including F-X/FCAS.
Japan and UK are strategic partners that share fundamental values. His visit gave momentum to further enhance Japan-UK collaboration along with UK Defence Secretary Rt Hon Wallace’s visit in July and HMS Queen Elizabeth’s deployment this month.
