IndoPacificDeployment unit is visiting the Pacific Islands Region for the first time. During Sept 13-16, JS Shiranui conducted a goodwill exercise with the Vanuatu Maritime Police for the first time. JMOD /JSDF will keep promoting cooperation with Vanuatu.
Also on Sept 2, the representatives of Vanuatu attended the virtual Japan Pacific Islands Defense Dialogue (JPIDD) chaired by DM Kishi. JMOD /JSDF will show Japan’s will to contribute to peace and stability in the Pacific Islands Region through goodwill exercises.
