On August 2, Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Defense, ONISHI Hiroyuki received a courtesy call from Brigadier General Joel B. Vowell, who assumed the position of the Commander, U.S. Army Japan. They confirmed that JSGDF and U.S. Army will continue to closely work together to further enhance the capabilities to deter and respond of the Japan-U.S. Alliance.
