On July 12, Minister of Defense KISHI Nobuo received a courtesy call from Admiral Charles Richard, the Commander, U.S. Strategic Command.They confirmed that given the increasingly severe security environment surrounding Japan, enhancing the Japan-U.S. Alliance is indispensable and that the Alliance’s capability to deter and respond should be further strengthened.
