JS MURASAME trains with HMAS BALLARAT of Australian Navy

On June 2, JS MURASAME of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) conducted a bilateral exercise with HMAS BALLARAT of Australian Navy in the southern waters of Kanto Area. In this training, both vessels simulated a series of procedures including navigation and information sharing. This exercise enhanced Japan-Australia collaboration. Following the Japan-Australia “2+2” of June 9, the MOD/SDF will deepen cooperation to uphold and reinforce Free and Open Indo-Pacific and further elevate Japan-Australia bilateral defense cooperation so as to contribute to peace and stability of the region.
