Multilateral Exercise ARC21

From May 11 to 17, JMSDF conducted “ARC21”, multilateral exercise with French, U.S. and Australian Navy in the East China Sea. The four countries simulated procedures such as landing training for remote islands defense and anti-submarine training with ships and aircraft.

Air defense exercise was also conducted in the ARC21, with the participation of JASDF F-2. Japan, France, U.S. and Australia, sharing the “Free and Open Indo-Pacific” Vision, further enhanced cooperative relations and showed collaboration aiming at remote islands defense.
