On March 15, State Minister Nakayama visited #JASDF Iruma Air Base, where he inspected flight inspection aircraft YS-11FC, which is operated by Flight Check Squadron. He also had a talk with personnel of the base.
The duty of YS-11FC includes to inspect the radio navigational aids, which offer the position of aircraft and other supporting data to flying aircraft, and ensure they are properly functioning. YS-11FC plays such an important role by checking all the radio navigational aids of GSDF, MSDF and ASDF.
