On March 10, Defense Minister Kishi attended a video meeting with the defense attachés in Asia and other regions, and made an address to the personnel. He stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation with Asian countries for the stability of the region.
The defense attachés are the SDF personnel who are assigned to Japan’s diplomatic missions abroad. They mainly engage in gathering military information from foreign military forces, defense authorities, and military attachés sent from other countries.
Further, they coordinate defense cooperation activities with foreign countries which have been expanding these days.
