On Dec 10, DM Kishi attended the 6th ASEAN-Japan Defence Minsters’ Informal Meeting to exchange views on practical defense cooperation and announced a new project, the “Japan-ASEAN Cyber Security Training Program for Defense Authorities.”
Located in the strategically important region that accommodates Japan’s vital sea lanes, ASEAN nations are the key to Indo-Pacific cooperation. JMOD/JSDF will continue to actively promote bilateral and multilateral defense cooperation and exchanges with these countries.
