The Electronic Systems Research Center conducts the research,test and evaluation on future information, communication, radar and infrared technology.
The Advanced Defense Technology Center conducts the research on M&S, human engineering technology, NBC defense technology, robot systems as well as promoting research programs of future weapon and equipment systems incorporating advanced technologies.
Chitose Test Center supports aerodynamic characteristics tests and engine performance tests on aircraft or missiles, and mobility tests on combat vehicles.
Shimokita Test Center supports performance tests of firearms, artillery, ammunition and explosives.
Gifu Test Center supports flight test evaluation of aircraft, aircraft engines, avionics, other components and missiles.
