On December 19, Defense Minister Kihara participated in a virtual Defense Ministerial Meeting on Red Sea Maritime Security hosted by the U.S. Department of Defense. At the conference, the participants shared information on the situation in the waters around the Arabian Peninsula, particularly the Red Sea and their efforts. Japan Ministry of Defense and Self Defense Forces will continue to collaborate with the U.S. and like-minded countries to ensure maritime security and peace and stability in the international community.
