 GSDF Engineers participated in the Engineering Program of the USA-PHL Bilateral Exercise 'BALIKATAN 2018' as part of the JMOD's Capacity Building Assistance to the Philippines. This was the first time for the JSDF to participate in this joint program held by the US and the Philippines to improve AFP's engineering capability. The JSDF contributed to the efforts to improve the Philippines' engineering capability through supporting the construction of an elementary school building in Central Luzon.
