HA/DR Invitation

Program Outline

The JMOD held its first invitation program on HA/DR as part of its capacity building program to the Lao People’s Army. The participants who are trainers of the Lao People’s Army visited the actual JGSDF command post and meal facility for the disaster response, where they received lectures on JGSDF’s operation and capacity. Also, they learned how to develop Lesson Plan (LP) for the practical training on “Search & Rescue and First Aid” at the JGSDF Camp Matsumoto.

All Lao People’s Army participants worked hard to obtain the skills and knowledge of developing LP provided by JGSDF instructors. The JMOD will dispatch JGSDF officers to the Lao PDR to hold the practical training on “Search & Rescue and First Aid” in November 2019 based on LP which the trainers of Lao People’s Army developed through this invitation program.

The JMOD program aims to develop the capacity of the trainers of the Lao People’s Army so that they can manage their own practical training to improve their disaster response capacity.
