  1. On January 9, the 1st Japan-Kenya Military to Military (MM) Dialogue was held in Nairobi, Kenya.
  2. The Japanese delegation was led by Mr. MIURA Jun, Director General for International Affairs, Bureau of Defense Policy, and the Kenyan delegation was led by Major General Fredrick Leuria, Assistant Chief of Kenya Defence Forces in charge of Operations, Plans, Doctrine and Training. They exchanged views on a variety of issues, including regional affairs, and also discussed the way forward for Japan-Kenya defense cooperation and exchanges and other relevant topics.
