Signing Ceremony of the Revised Japan-Bahrain Memorandum on Defense Cooperation and Exchanges, and Meeting

1. On November 19th, 2023, Mr. MIURA Jun, Director General for International Affairs, Bureau of Defense Policy, held a signing ceremony of the revised Memorandum of Defense Cooperation and Exchanges with Major General Shaikh Ali bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Assistant Chief of Staff for Human Resources, Bahrain Defence Force.
2. Also, Mr. Miura had a meeting with Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief, Bahrain Defence Force, welcoming the signing of the revised Memorandum. Both sides shared the view to further promote Japan-Bahrain defense cooperation and exchanges under the Memorandum.
3. Japan will further strengthen the defense cooperation and exchanges with Bahrain as a “comprehensive partner”, and contribute together to uphold and reinforce the free and open international order based on the rule of law.
