From 23 to 27 Oct, personnel from the JSDF Central Hospital and the Sapporo Hospital were dispatched to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Personnel provided guidance for a table-top exercise (TTX) conducted by the Central Military Hospital of the Mongolian Armed Forces (CMH MAF) and Mongolia’s National Emergency Management Agency. The TTX was based upon a mass casualty admission plan created by CMH MAF.
This in-country activity was part of a project which aims to enhance the CMH MAF’s disaster response capabilities. The activity has enabled the CMH MAF to independently conduct an exercise similar to the JSDF Central Hospital’s annual “Mass Casualties Acceptance Exercise” in the future.
This activity contributed to further strengthening the bilateral relationship between Japan and Mongolia.
