In recognition of the 50th year of ASEAN-Japan Friendship and Cooperation, from 7 to 16 November, JMOD/JSDF conducted a capacity building program in the field of cybersecurity by inviting eighteen participants from ASEAN member states.

While the previous event was conducted on an online basis, the event of this year was held in person for the first time. During the program, participants advanced their cyber security skills and knowledge through variety of training, which was composed of combination of practical skill training and seminars such as international law on cybersecurity.

Japan also invited a total of six observers from Bangladesh, Maldives and Sri Lanka who actively interacted with other participants.
