- On October 12, the 1st Japan-Latvia Military to Military (MM) Dialogue was held in Riga, the Republic of Latvia.
- The Japanese delegation was led by Mr. MIURA Jun, Director General for International Affairs, Bureau of Defense Policy, Ministry of Defense Japan. The Latvian delegation was led by Dr. Ginta BRUMANE-GROMULA, Director of the Defence Policy Department, Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Latvia.
- They exchanged views on issues such as defense policies of both nations, regional affairs of Ukraine, Israel/Palestine, and deepened the discussion on bilateral defense cooperation and exchanges.
