They include
- planning and coordinating Japan-Australia cooperation projects on capacity building
- sharing information and lessons learned on capacity building initiatives of Japan and Australia
(Reference) Background on receiving a secondee from the Australian Department of Defence.
The exchange program with the Australian Department of Defence was agreed during the Japan-Australia Defence Ministerial Meeting held in September 2012 as a part of Japan-Australia cooperation in the area of capacity building. With this agreement of exchange, to this day, we have received 6 secondees from Australia, and MOD has sent 5 secondees to Australia.
