Recipient 7 ASEAN military officers
JMOD/JMSDF conducted the Ship Rider Cooperation Program on maritime security with participants from ASEAN. The program was organized under the guiding principle for Japan-ASEAN defense cooperation known as the ”Vientiane Vision 2.0”. The participants exchanged views during seminars on a variety of topics including international maritime law, observed exercises on the ship, took a flight on an onboard aircraft, and delivered a presentation regarding each county’s respective maritime security issues. The program contributed to maintaining and strengthening the idea of a “Free and Open Indo-Pacific”.
