Location	Waters transited between Indonesia and Malaysia on JS OSUMI
Recipient	10 ASEAN military officers
JMOD/JMSDF conducted the Ship Rider Cooperation Program on maritime security with participants from ASEAN. The program was organized under the guiding principle for Japan-ASEAN defense cooperation known as the ”Vientiane Vision”. The participants exchanged views during seminars on a variety of topics including international maritime law and HA/DR, observed exercises on the ship, took a flight on an onboard aircraft, and made discussion regarding maritime security. The program contributed to maintaining and strengthening the idea of a “Free and Open Indo-Pacific”.
