On Sep 22, Defense Minister Kihara received a courtesy call from General George, Chief of Staff, U.S. Army. They confirmed that GSDF and the U.S. Army will further strengthen their cooperation in order to realize a Free and Open Indo-Pacific in this competitive era. Moreover, Defense Minister Kihara expressed his expectation that General Morishita, Chief of Staff of GSDF and General George will work together towards strengthening joint response capabilities.
