On June 15, Defense Minister Hamada received a courtesy call from Dr. John Hamre, President and CEO of the Center for Strategic and International Studies, one of the leading think tanks in the U.S. They had a wide range of discussion on regional security and Japan-U.S. Defense Cooperation, based on the results of the Japan-U.S. Defense Ministerial Meeting on June 1 and confirmed the importance of strengthening the Japan-U.S. Alliance.
