NATO Assistant Secretary General Cadenbach’s visit to Ministry of Defense

On December 1, Ambassador Bettina Cadenbach, Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs and Security Policy, NATO visited Ministry of Defense to meet with Mr. OKA Masami, Vice-Minister of Defense for International Affairs, Mr. MIURA Jun, Director General for International Affairs, Bureau of Defense Policy, and other defense officials.
Assistant Secretary General Cadenbach also participated in the 17th Japan-NATO High-Level Consultations held at Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan on the same day. Director General MIURA attended the consultations from Ministry of Defense. Through the consultations, Japan and NATO discussed a wide range of issues such as respective security policies, Japan-NATO cooperation, and regional situations in East Asia and in Europe.
