On Feb 21, Defense Minister Kishi signed the Japan-Poland Memorandum on Defense Cooperation/Exchanges and held a VTC with Minister of National Defense Błaszczak of Poland. They welcomed the signature and confirmed to deepen cooperation/exchanges as strategic partners.
Both ministers also discussed regional security issues. Regarding Ukraine, Minister Kishi expressed Japan maintains its support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and any attempts to unilaterally change the status quo by force is unacceptable.
