On December 23, Defense Minister Kishi gave letters of appointment to two personnel scheduled to be dispatched to UNMISS as a logistics officer and an air operations officer. Minister Kishi encouraged them to accomplish their duties representing Japanese contribution.
The logistics officer procures and transports goods needed in UNMISS activities and the air operations officer assists in operation of aircraft run by UNMISS. MOD/JSDF will continue to contribute to the peace and stability of South Sudan, an internationally crucial issue.
