On Nov 5, deutsche marine FGS Bayern reached Tokyo International Cruise Terminal. This is the first time in about 20years that a German Navy ship visited Japan. JMOD/JSDF welcomes the visit as to further strengthen Japan-Germany defense cooperation.
Defense Minister Kishi visited deutsche marine FGS Bayern with CHoD Zorn & CHoN Schoenbach. This year marks the 160th anniversary of Japan-Germany Relationship. This port call to Japan is a proof of Germany strengthening its commitment to the Indo-Pacific & further developing defense cooperation with Japan.
On Nov 13th,deutsche marine FGS Bayern departed from Japan. JMOD/JSDF will continue further strengthening Japan-Germany defense cooperation to realize Free and open Indo Pacific through joint exercises and etc. with FGS Bayern. Japan looks forward to the next visit!
