On September 17, JMSDF JS Shiranui conducted a Japan-France bilateral exercise “Oguri-Verny” with vessels including Marine Nationale in New Caledonia patrol aircraft ! JS Shiranui visited the Pacific Islands Region for the first time as an Indo Pacific Deployment unit.
This exercise showed that Japan and France act together to uphold and reinforce Free And Open Indo Pacific . JMOD /JSDF will contribute to peace and stability in the Pacific Islands Region through these bilateral/multilateral exercises.
