On August 17, Defense Minister Kishi received a courtesy call from H.E. Mr. Ian G. McKay, Ambassador-Designate of Canada to Japan.
DM Kishi welcomed the inauguration of H.E. Mr. Ian G. McKay, Ambassador-Designate of Canada to Japan, and they affirmed that Japan and Canada, as the Indo-Pacific countries, would continue to work closely together to uphold and reinforce the "Free and Open Indo-Pacific".
