On August 27, State Minister of Defense Nakayama participated in a Change of Command Ceremony of Commander, USFJ and Fifth Air Force. He met with Lt Gen Kevin B. Schneider, Commander, USFJ and Fifth Air Force who is going to leave the position shortly. JMOD/JSDF will continue to promote further defense cooperation and exchanges with the U.S.
