JGSDF joins field training Southern Jackaroo 21 with U.S. Marine Corps and Australian Army

From June 14 to 24, Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF) joined field training “Southern Jackaroo 21” with U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) and Australian Army in Mount Bundy Training Area, Australia. The training was Japan, U.S., Australia trilateral training held in Australia since 2013 and was the eighth time. About 60 personnel from JGSDF, 280 from USMC and 410 from Australian Army joined and simulated combat shooting training in the forest, making use of vast training area in Australia. Japan Ministry of Defense (JMOD) and Japan Self-Defense Forces (JSDF) demonstrate the cooperation and unity among the three nations through the training.
