Japan-U.S. Bilateral Exercise in the Indian Ocean

On June 21st, JMSDF training ship JS KASHIMA and JS SETOYUKI conducted bilateral training with the USS Ronald Reagan, USS Shiloh and USS Halsey in the Indian Ocean. In this training, they simulated procedures to collaborate and share information.

The training was a valuable experience for junior SDF officers joining overseas training to understand the robustness of the Japan-U.S. Alliance and to serve for national defense. The MOD/JSDF will conduct training with US Forces to uphold and reinforce Free And Open Indo Pacific.
