Cooperation with U.S. Navy

　Japan-U.S. cooperation based on the Japan-U.S. Security Arrangements has been playing an important role in ensuring Japan’s security.
　To strengthen Japan-U.S. security posture, Self Defense Fleet conducts close opinion exchanges and bilateral exercises with U.S. Seventh Fleet in an active manner, contributing to enhanced interoperability.
　Self Defense Fleet actively conducts bilateral exercises and flag level exchanges with U.S. Seventh Fleet. It is indispensable to deepen mutual understanding in tactics and operations, share mutual intentions, and maintain interoperability in order to execute smooth bilateral operations.
