JS TAKANAMI and JS TERUZUKI conducted a joint exercise with the Japan Coast Guard

On December 19, JS TAKANAMI and JS TERUZUKI conducted a joint exercise with the Japan Coast Guard (JCG) patrol ship SHIKINE in the waters east of Izu-Oshima.
The commander, Escort Division 6 CAPT YOKOYAMA Shigeki said, “Through this joint exercise about information sharing and mobility between escort ships and a JCG patrol ship, we have improved our skills and our ability to operate jointly with JCG. The JMSDF has been conducting exercises with the JCG to strengthen comprehensive countermeasures and cooperation, as well as conducting patrol and surveillance of our territorial waters and waters surrounding Japan in close and strong cooperation.”
