JS IKAZUCHI conducted a Japan-U.S. bilateral exercise

From December 1 to 8, JS IKAZUCHI conducted a Japan-U.S. bilateral exercise with USS RONALD REAGAN, USS SHILOH and USNS JOHN ERICSSON from south of Kanto to Okinawa.
The Commander, Escort Division 3rd, Captain SUZUKI Takuya, said, “Through this tactical exercise, we have improved our tactical capabilities and interoperability with the U.S. Navy. As in this exercise, the U.S. and Japanese naval forces are constantly working together to maintain and enhance our ability to jointly respond to various contingencies.”
The Self-Defense Fleet maintains responsiveness, safeguards the peace and defense of Japan, continues to integrate with allied and friendly navies and contributes to the stability in the Indo-Pacific region in order to realize a “Free and Open Indo-Pacific.”
