JS SETOGIRI conducted a Japan-U.S.-Australia Trilateral exercise

From November 19 to 21, JS SETOGIRI conducted a Japan-U.S.-Australia Trilateral exercise with USS Ronald Reagan, USS Chancellorsville, USS Milius, HMAS Stalwart in the Pacific Ocean from south of Kanto to south of Shikoku.
Through this various warfare exercise, JS SETOGIRI improved its tactical capabilities and interoperability with the U.S. Navy and Royal Australian Navy. The exercise also contributed to the creation of a desirable security environment for Japan, as it enabled the realization of a “Free and Open Indo-Pacific” and the embodiment of the united will of the U.S., Australia, and Japan.
The Self-Defense Fleet maintains responsiveness, safeguards the peace and defense of Japan, continues to integrate with allied and comrade navies, defends maritime order based on the rule of law, and contributes to the stability in the Indo-Pacific region in order to realize a “Free and Open Indo-Pacific.”
