JS HARUSAME conducted a bilateral exercise with Turkish Navy

On 28 October, JS HARUSAME conducted a bilateral exercise with Turkish Navy FF BURGAZADA in the Gulf of Aden to improve the tactical capabilities and promote mutual understanding with the Turkish Navy.
The JMSDF and the Turkish Navy have been an extremely good relationship since the 1890 distress of the Frigate Ertugrul.
The Self-Defense Fleet remains responsive, continues to integrate with friendly navies, defends maritime order based on the rule of law, safeguards the peace and defense of Japan, and contributes to the stability in the Indo-Pacific region in order to realize a “Free and Open Indo-Pacific.”
