JS IZUMO and JS TAKANAMI conducted a bilateral exercise with the Royal Canadian Navy

From September 21 to 23, the Indo-Pacific Deployment 2022 (IPD22) units, JS IZUMO and JS TAKANAMI, conducted a bilateral exercise with the Royal Canadian Navy HMCS WINNIPEG from the vicinity of Malaysia to the vicinity of Singapore.
Through this exercise, The JMSDF and Royal Canadian Navy improve its tactical capabilities and strengthened cooperation, as well as demonstrated their unity toward the realization of a “Free and Open Indo-Pacific”.　
The Self-Defense Fleet remains responsive, continue to integrate with friendly navies, safeguards the peace and defense of Japan, and contributes to stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
