JS AMAGIRI conducted a Japan-U.S. bilateral exercise
From September 12 to 22, JS AMAGIRI conducted a bilateral exercise with the U.S. Navy RONALD REAGAN Carrier Strike Group in the vicinity of Japan.
Through this bilateral exercise, we conducted a high-end tactical exercise in an effort to improve our tactical capabilities and interoperability with the U.S. Navy.
Japan and the United States naval forces have been working together in close cooperation from day to day to maintain and strengthen our bilateral response capabilities for various unforeseen circumstances.
The Self-Defense Fleet maintains a readiness and contributes to the defense of Japan and to the peace and stability of the Indo-Pacific region based on the deterrence and response capabilities of the strong Japan-U.S. Alliance.
