JS HARUSAME conducted a bilateral exercise with FS GUEPRATTE

On 11 September, JS HARUSAME conducted a bilateral exercise with FS GUEPRATTE in the vicinity of Western Arabian Sea.
The Commanding Officer of Escort Division 2, CAPT KUDO Masanori, who served as the Japanese Commander for this exercise, said, “Through this bilateral exercise, we improved the tactical capabilities of the units in combating piracy and strengthened our cooperation with the French Navy. In addition, we contributed to deterring piracy by demonstrating the presence of the Japanese and French navies."
The Self-Defense Fleet remains responsive, continues to integrate with friendly navies, defends maritime order based on the rule of law, safeguards the peace and defense of Japan, and contributes to the stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
