JS YAMAGIRI conducted a Japan-Singapore goodwill exercise

On August 27, JS YAMAGIRI conducted a Japan-Singapore goodwill exercise with RSS INTREPID in vicinity of south of Kanto.
RSS INTREPID, which conducted this exercise, made a port call at the JMSDF Yokosuka Base from August 23 to 27 for the purpose of replenishment.
In addition, JMSDF vessels maintain a close cooperative stance, such as calling at the Singapore Naval Base to receive supplies when they enter or return to the west of the Indian Ocean in the waters off the coast of Aden and Somalia.
JMSDF and the Republic of Singapore Navy are working to improve its tactical capabilities and deepen mutual understanding through such exercise and opportunities for mutual port calls.
The Self-Defense Fleet maintains readiness, contributing to the defense of Japan, as well as realization of a “Free and Open Indo-Pacific” in cooperation with friendly navy.
