JS TAKANAMI conducted a Japan-Chile goodwill exercise

On August 5, JS TAKANAMI conducted a Japan-Chile goodwill exercise with CNS ALMIRANTE LYNCH in vicinity of Hawaii.
Through the exercise, the JMSDF improved our tactical skills and deepened its friendship and mutual understanding with the Chilean Navy.
This year marks the 125th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Chile. In order to realize a "Free and Open Indo-Pacific," Japan has further deepened the cooperative relationship between navies.
The Self-Defense Fleet maintains a readiness to respond and contributes to the peace and stability of the Indo-Pacific region through the defense of Japan as well as by deepening cooperative relations with friendly navies.
